Recreation

Aberdeen provides ample recreational opportunities with two 18-hole & one 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, city hiking trails, one of the state’s largest soccer and softball complex, Aberdeen Family Aquatic Center, hunting, fishing, and three lakes within minutes of the city. Wylie Park features Storybook Land, the Land of Oz, Wildlife Exhibits, Thunder Road, Thunder Mountain Mini-Golf, Wylie Water World, camping, walking & biking trials, and Lake Minne-Eho.

Culture

The Aberdeen Recreational and Cultural Center (ARCC) was established by Aberdeen to provide cultural and recreational activities to area residents. A wide variety of events and activities are held including arts, crafts, dramatics, and dance. The Dacotah Prairie Museum hosts a number of exhibits highlighting the prairie heritage of days gone by.
